Determining the Needs for the Next Generation

Honda Access Europe operates an integrated system combines all stages ranging from research and development to production and marketing with the ultimate goal to meet 'On Time Sales', i.e. accessory release at the same time as the new car or motorcycle. To this end, we employ the same research and development principles as for the car or motorcycle and work closely together with Honda's Unit R&D Departments starting as early as the design stage of the new vehicle. 

During the research and planning phase, customer tastes and market trends are monitored to determine the needs for the next generation of cars and motorcycles. Advanced technology trends are reviewed to determine their suitability in the application of new products. Ultimately, designs and specifications which best fit Honda products are retained. Comprehensive research is done of installation onto the vehicles and the quality and function thereafter. Market studies and investigations after product launch are performed and the results are evaluated and used as references in future product design. 

Development is based entirely upon the Honda Product Concept and each phase closely follows the similar stages of the vehicle itself. During every cycle in the program, close monitoring and testing is performed and evaluated. State-of-the-art equipment is used in various technical laboratories, and the results are supported by extensive road tests.
